The Bonjour protocol is a protocol that was created by Apple. It is Apple's take on zero-configuration networking. It is for Example used by a variety of network printers and home entertainment devices.
The Bonjour protocol allows for a device to advertise its presence and basic settings to the network to allow for auto detection functionalities.
Barco also uses the Bonjour protocol for the same advertisement functionality. Without the protocol Barco devices are not able to discover each other automatically. Therefore it must be left active.
Having Bonjour active does not pose a security risk for your device or network.
